In the unfortunate case of the bike renter not showing up, the bike should not be rented out for the duration of renting period.

If the bike appointment is not cancelled more than 24 hours before the determined pickup, the rider will not be reimbursed.

To rent out your bike effectively, here are some tips for both the photos and the description:

  1. Clean and presentable: Make sure the bike is clean and looks well-maintained. A clean bike gives a positive first impression!
  2. Multiple angles: Tak pictures from different angles, including side, front, back and close-ups of important features (like the gears, tires or any important features)
  3. Neutral background: Use a simple uncluttered background so the focus remains on the bike.
  4. Description: Specify the type of bike and the features. Describe them as best as possible to answer as many possible future questions!

1. Tires and Wheels
– Tire Pressure: Make sure tires are inflated to the recommended PSI (usually written on the tire sidewall). Underinflated tires can lead to flats or poor handling.
– Tire Condition: Check for cracks, wear, or cuts. Replace tires if they are too worn out.
– Wheel Trueness: Spin the wheels and check if they wobble side to side. A misaligned wheel can affect handling.
– Quick Releases: Ensure the quick-release levers (or axle bolts) on the wheels are properly tightened and secured.

2. Brakes
– Brake Pads: Inspect the brake pads for wear. If they’re too thin, they need to be replaced.
– Brake Levers: Squeeze the brake levers to ensure they’re responsive and stop the bike when pressed. They shouldn’t feel loose or spongy.
– Brake Cables: Check for fraying or damage in the brake cables. Ensure they move smoothly when the lever is pulled.

3. Chain and Gears
– Chain Condition: Ensure the chain is properly lubricated and clean. A dry or rusty chain can snap or wear out faster.
– Shifting Gears: Run through all the gears to ensure they shift smoothly and don’t skip or hesitate.
– Derailleur Alignment: Check the front and rear derailleurs to make sure they aren’t misaligned or bent.

4. Frame and Fork
– Visual Inspection: Look for cracks, dents, or damage on the frame, fork, and handlebars. Small cracks can compromise safety.
– Handlebars and Stem: Make sure the handlebars are tightly secured and don’t rotate unexpectedly. The stem should also be properly aligned with the front wheel.

5. Pedals and Cranks
– Pedal Security: Ensure the pedals are tight and don’t wiggle or make noise when pedaling.
– Cranks: Check that the crank arms are securely attached and don’t wobble.

6. Seat and Seatpost
– Seat Height: Ensure the seat is at the correct height and properly tightened. The seat post should not move while riding.
– Seat Condition: Check for any damage or looseness in the seat.

7. Lights and Reflectors (if applicable)
– Visibility: If riding at night, make sure front and rear lights are working, and reflectors are in place and clean.

By checking these components regularly, you’ll help ensure your road bike is safe for each ride and avoid potential accidents.

If you’re not comfortable riding the bike in the current state, please tell the bike owner and maybe a solution can be found.

If not, please E-mail us at info@easyridesbikerentals.com and we will act as an intermediary on your behalf!

Please contact the bike owner. The bike is reserved for you for the booked time so if you’re a little late, just inform them!

Be aware to always check the opening hours of the bike shop!

If you can’t find the right adress, please directly E-mail the bike owner. If he/she does not respond, please E-mail us.

That’s dependent of the bike owner. It’s always handy to carry one just in case!

That is dependent on the bike owner. Easy Rides does not handle the deposit aspect of the bike rental.

Please inform the bike owner. If the bike can only be returned the next day, the bike owner may charge you for this so make sure you are on time!

We hope you’re well to begin with!

If the bike is damaged, we can act as an intermediary. However, most bike owners have their bikes insured.

As we don’t own the bikes, we’re neither obliged to have them insured. The best way to solve this is to talk to the bike owner and the insurance company.

The bike deposit is handled by the bike owners themselves. In case of a succesful return, the bike owner is obliged to make sure you will get your deposit back.

Whether that is cash or an Id.
